The Josh Sheehan Column
Column written by Josh Sheehan

[20.02.2011]

Hi everyone, Josh Sheehan here from Australia and this is a bit of an update on what's happening in my world. After my Night Of The Jumps debut in November 2010, I came back home to Perth, Western Australia, for a break from travelling.

I built myself an 8m radius Euro ramp, a 12m radius 120ft ramp for some big gaps and finished off some berm's and jumps at my new compound. I now have a wide down ramp with an Australian and Euro ramp with a 25m dirt double straight after then an angled dirt jump onto a large landing. The large landing being for my 120ft ramp (35m).

I had a relaxing Christmas break at home with my family and then started training on my new setup for a busy couple of months coming up. In the middle of January I had a demo in my home town with a 23metre and 33metre gap which was first for Perth. It turned out real good to ride in front of my home crowd and friends! I'm now actually typing this column on a plane heading over to New Zealand for the Nitro Circus Live tour. I will be joining the crazy crew for the first time and doing 5 shows around NZ in February. Closely followed by 8 more shows on the east coast of Australia in March. So because of all this, I am unable to get to the Night Of The Jumps in February and March. But I look forward to heading over to Europe in May and competing in the remaining IFMXF competitions in 2011!

I'm about to get ready for NZ now, so thanks for checking on my first column and it will be the start of many more updates from me this year. I want to have a big thanks to Calton Dry Honda Race Team, Valyside Apparel, Thor, DEFT and Dragon for all their help!

Talk to you soon

Josh
