IFMXF Press release

After the summer break the FIM Freestyle MX World Championship gets into the second half of the season

In September the IFMXF starts into the second half of the NIGHT of the JUMPS FIM Freestyle MX World Championship season 2007. After six out of 14 contests Norway Ailo Gaup leads with 93 points followed by X-Games participant Remi Bizouard with 87 points. Czech Libor Podmol and Romain Izzo(FRA) still have their chances with 3rd and 4th position. The Frenchman was the IFMXF newcomer 2007 with spectacular winnings of two contests at the beginning of this season. And don’t forget about Mat Rebeaud, FIM Freestyle MX World Champ 2006. After his injury he is back on the track and won the NIGHT of the JUMPs in Basel/Switzerland. With his 4th place at the X-Games he collected enough motivation to take the fight with his longtime rival Ailo Gaup.

Ailo Gaup Also we can be curious about the two US-Boys and X-Games participants Mike Mason and Adam Jones. Jones, who won Gold and Silver medal at X-Games 13 by his trick evolutions like Stripper- and Shaolin Backflip, only is on 14th at the FIM Freestyle MX World Championships, But with his first X-Games victory we can be sure, that he is hungry for more.

And the four German FMX-Riders around Fabian Bauersachs, Lukas Weis, Busty Wolter and Freddy Peters are highly motivated to reach enough points as possible.

On September 8th and 9th the second half of the IFMXF season starts with the FIM Freestyle MX World Championships in Athens. It ist he first time the NIGHT of the JUMPs takes place in Greece. Only one week later the fight for the World Championship points goes on at French city Metz (15th/16th September). The IFMXF rounds 11th and 12th are going to be on the 27th/28th of October in Riga/Latvia. The last tour stop on European ground will happen on 17th November at SAP Arena in Mannheim/Germany. And than the whole IFMXF circus will travel to Brazil for the seasonal final of the FIM Freestyle MX World Championships.

So things are very tense for the next NIGHT of the JUMPs. And after massive new tricks that have been shown at the X-Games in Los Angeles we can wonder what IFMXF trick premiere we will se at second half of the season.
